§ 17.28.050. Parking spaces—Minimum dimensions—Exceptions.

The minimum size for parking spaces shall be as follows:

Ninety Degree Parking. Nine feet wide, eighteen feet long with a twenty-four-foot turning radius (Diagram A and B; Table 17.28.050);

Parallel Parking. Eight feet wide, twenty-two feet long with a twenty-foot turning radius (Diagram C; Table 17.28.050);

Forty-five Degree Parking. Nine feet wide, nineteen feet deep with a twenty-two-foot turning radius (Diagram D; Table 17.28.050);

Sixty Degree Parking. Nine feet wide, twenty feet deep with a twenty-two-foot turning radius (Diagram E; Table 17.28.050).

B.

Each parking space must meet the minimum requirements of subsection A, with the exception that for parking facilities with a minimum of fifty parking spaces or more, up to twenty percent of parking spaces may be allocated to compact car parking with minimum dimensions of eight and five tenths feet by seventeen feet.

C.

These provisions shall not apply to any building for which a permit to construct foundations was issued prior to January 1, 1987.
