§ 17.24.030. Nonconforming buildings, structures and uses—Certificates of occupancy—Issuance conditions.

  • Certificates of occupancy may be issued by the director of inspections for the substitution of one nonconforming use for another if the new nonconforming use is substantially the same as the last former nonconforming use, such as one type of retail store for another type, i.e., a beauty parlor for a barber shop.
